"Lisa is the perfect wedding planner. Almost immediately we knew we were in good hands. A wedding is a tremendously personal occasion. Lisa had an outstanding ability to truly understand the type of wedding we desired, and was able to offer invaluable experience and guidance to help make it a reality.
Lisa is genuine, thoughtful and sincerely cares. It's hard to imagine how we would ever have managed without her. She skillfully kept all the various aspects of the wedding planning on schedule and well organized, anticipating any upcoming hurdles, while at the same time projecting a sense of calm. She also paid great attention to detail, and had the uncanny ability of knowing the particular aspects of the wedding day that we especially cared about.
With Lisa, we were able to relax, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the actual day! She is truly an asset to this establishment." - Lana & Adrian Redinger
"I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic weekend. I was
recovering from knee surgery and needed a place to just relax. I finally got
it right. Your staff was very friendly and the room exceeded our
expectations. I think they put us in the nicest room on the property. I
think it was 300 (2nd fl, right hand corner facing the lake). My girlfriend
and I went to sit on the porch and just relax in the rocking chairs. The
server Floyd came over and offered to get us drinks. So we ordered drinks
and so did the other couples on the porch. After bringing our drinks, he
asked if we would like to order brunch. He said he would have the table set
for us. I felt like a VIP not just another guest. My girlfriend and I both
are in the Hotel/ Hospitality business and know how important guest service
is. Floyd took it to the next level. We are looking forward to many more
date weekends at The Lakeside Inn. Please thank him for making the weekend
perfect." - Recent guest.
"I just wanted to give a big thank you to the staff at Lakeside Inn for the wonderful stay we had this past weekend. Our band played for your Saturday concert on August 4th and we were treated very well by all of the staff. A special thank you to Stephanie – our waitress on several occasions (love her!!), and to Zahara, and Jason the night desk clerk. Jason put up with our amateur ghost hunting shenanigans both nights we stayed there and was a fount of information on the history of the Inn. (FYI: we did catch the voice of a little girl on one of our recorders.) Also the food was very good and the service fantastic. We would stay there again in a heart beat. Thank you again! We had a great time!" - Recent guest, Deland, FL
"Jim ... hope this gets to you. I am totally amazed at your endurance, diligence and efforts as you work your way into Mount Dora and have appreciated all your efforts in bringing the 'Grand Old Dame' to life. My wife Mari and I have always enjoyed our breakfasts on your veranda and we look forward to you breathing life into our town. Thanks for taking the risk and making the investment in the Lakeside Inn. I am overjoyed with your progress and wish you nothing but the best as you breathe life into our Inn."

"I just wanted to send an email thanking you. We had the shower yesterday and everything was amazing. The set up was beautiful and the service was wonderful. Thank you and your staff for making her day perfect. And it truly was perfect. So thank you very much." (Jamie - July, 2012)
“We had a wonderful time May 5th. The food, drinks and hospitality was wonderful. 65 people and not one complaint. Comfortable rooms. Everything was perfect” (May 2012, Lyman High School – mini reunion)
“Thank you for your gift of a 3 Day – 2 Night stay at your beautiful property. It was by far, one of the most popular items. The history of our relationship with the Lakeside Inn goes all the way back to our earliest days in 1945 with the Edgerton family. It is so wonderful to know that the Inn is owned and managed by people who share our desire to serve the needs of others who are less fortunate.” (May 2012, Christian Home and Bible School)
“... a boat tour to the Dora Canal, a carriage ride, a ghost walk, a trolley ride and exquisite food at the Beauclaire dinning room. Piano Bob played for us in Tremain’s Tavern, I found it hard to leave the grounds but did so to enjoy the shopping, the gatehouse is the most lovely shop with all the wares made by central Floridians... I am going back in October.. I can’t wait “ (2012 anonymous guest)
“The staff was hospitable and friendly...the atmosphere nostalgic and charming...I slept like a baby and ate like a queen! Poolside bar, lakeside view, gorgeous sunset, Adirondack chairs by the lake, historical photos telling the story of this wonderful property. The location is perfect right on the edge of the picturesque lakeside village.” (May 2012, guests from Gainesville)
“Our beautiful room overlooked the lake and even had a private stair to the pool area. We picked this retreat to just relax and enjoy the resort. The pool is beautifully kept and the grounds are well maintained. Evenings we would sit with a glass of wine on the rocking chair filled poarch or on the large pier set on the lake. We enjoyed the dining room, boat tours that left from our door step and breakfast on the porch. If you wonder how we like it - we made reservations for the same time next year! “ (May 2012, guests from Tampa)
